WHERE WE ARE
South Park Chapel is in Seven Kings in East London in the London Borough of Redbridge, about 2km to the east of Ilford. The Chapel is located to the south of Green Lane, at the point where Water Lane and Ripley Road meet. The entrance in Ripley Road gives step free-access. Most of the Chapel is on the ground floor and is step-free.

Getting to the chapel by bus or train
NEAREST BUS ROUTES
128 - Claybury – Gants Hill Central Line Station - Ilford – Goodmayes – Romford.
150 - Chigwell Row – Gants Hill Central Line Station - Ilford – Goodmayes – Becontree Heath.
The bus stops on the 128 and 150 bus routes are in Green Lane, about 5 minutes’ walk from South Park Chapel. Listen out for automated bus stop announcement ‘Seven Kings Road’, alight at that stop, and walk along Water lane to South Park Chapel. The entrance to Water Lane is between SKS Plumber Merchant Ltd and the corner shop now called Aqeel Halal Meat.

The bus stops near Seven Kings railway station, about 600 metres from South Park Chapel. In both directions on the 86 bus listen out for automated bus stop announcement ‘Seven Kings Station’. Alight at that stop. Walk towards Seven Kings railway station. Seven Kings railway station is the red-brick building with ‘Seven Kings’ in white letters on a purple background above the station entrance. Then proceed to South Park Chapel as per the instructions given below.
NEAREST RAILWAY STATION
The nearest railway station is Seven Kings Station which is on the Crossrail Elizabeth Line from London Paddington to Liverpool Street, Stratford, Ilford, Romford, and Shenfield.
Exit Seven Kings railway station. Turn right. Cross the High Road at the pedestrian crossing. Walk along Seven Kings Road to Green Lane (Seven Kings Road is the road which goes pass the red brick Methodist Church). Go across Green Lane at the pedestrian crossing. Then walk along Water Lane until you get to South Park Chapel.
The entrance to Water Lane from Green Lane is between SKS Plumber Merchant Ltd and the corner shop advertising Lycamobile and Aqees Communications).
Walking distance from the railway station to the Chapel is about 600 metres, taking about 10 to 15 minutes. Seven Kings railway station now has lifts giving step-free access from the station platforms to street level.

Parking

Please be aware that there is no dedicated car park at South Park Chapel. The chapel was built at a time not many people had cars. Parking is free on nearby streets but sometimes busy. Walking, cycling, and coming by public transport are good alternatives!
